Pan Am Games 2015
The Pan Am Games has passed, and the Parapan Am Games is about to start throughout the GTA and the Mississauga area. Behind the scene of such an event, are supporting cast of volunteers, many of whom make many sacrifices of time and energy to make the Games a success.
Over 100 Doctors of Chiropractic volunteer their time during this Pan Am Games to help support the vitality and health of the many of the athletes involved. Athletes are increasingly looking for chiropractic care and see them as a vital part of their performance and recovery.
A Recent study in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics indicate that regular chiropractic adjustment can improve grip strength. The study involves the measurement of Judo practitioners and their grip strength. The study measured the improvement in grip strength after chiropractic adjustment and compared it to the grip strength of those that received sham adjustments. The study result conclusively showed that those that received chiropractic adjustment had a noticeable increase in their grip strength while those that received sham adjustment did not notice any changes at all.
The reason there’s an improvement in grip strength can be attributed to the improvement in nervous system function after chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractors and those athletes that use chiropractic care have long noticed the improvement in athletic performance with regular adjustments.
The state of well being such as improved coordination, strength, flexibility, reflex, and energy is not simply the realm of those involved in sports. Those that would like a better overall vitality and health such as you and I, can greatly benefit from regular chiropractic care.
